ALERT!! Kroger Coupon Policy Change
I just went to pick up some of this week's deals at Kroger (in Greenville NC). My order was rang up and then the cashier explained to me that the store coupon policy is now only one coupon per product. She pointed out the notice by the debit card machine which I had not noticed. No duplicate coupons will be accepted. I had eight of each coupon and was told that I would have to complete 8 transactions AND at different registers. I was very upset because I shop there often and the cashier knows that I am a couponer. I told her that thier Sales Ad states unlimited coupons. I told her that I would be speaking to the Manager, Ken and I would be contacting thier Corporate office to let them know what bad customer service this move is. I assured her I would visit stores that were more coupon friendly.
I am wondering if it is time for us to conduct a campaign with Kroger like we did with Lowes Foods a couple of years ago. We need to let Kroger know that limiting the use of coupons will cause many of us to bypass Kroger Stores for Stores that are more coupon friendly.
What are your thoughts on this situation?

This may be a YMMV type thing for now. I went to Kroger today and used 3 of the Cottonelle coupons at one time with no problems? So if they are limiting it I would say it is the store not corporate as the register had no problems taking multiple same coupons.
I agree...it may be a regional thing. My store in Nashville is controlled by the Louisville, KY office.
That said, I think it stinks for ClipperGirl! After the holidays, I would be happy to email or call a complaint on her behalf. If it happens at one Kroger, it could happen at any Kroger!
It may just have been your cashier. I have had a couple of certain cashiers there that have said that for a couple of years. It is their written policy...just randomly enforced. I'll let you know hoe my next trip goes.
Personally, I think it was the cashier. She has done the same thing to me in the past.
You know I will be happy to do any type of campaign that we need to. I think they need to up the face value of a coupon anyway.
Wow. That stinks, did you talk to the manager? Maybe it is time to go to other stores. I will help you anyway I can. Let me know..
