National Parks: Fee Free Weekends

America’s Best Idea – the national parks – gets even better this summer with three fee-free weekends at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees*.
Mark your calendars for fee-free weekends this summer:

Free weekends are:
June 20-21 (Father’ Day Weekend)
July 18-19
Aug 15-16

Park entrance fees have continued to rise over the years ranging from $3-$25, taking a huge bite in the budget when coupled with fuel, food and lodging expenses.

Why are they doing this? The National Park Service is trying to get Americans to use national parks for summer vacations since those summer visits stimulate the economy of surrounding jobs and businesses.

While there get your FREE reusable eco-friendly shopping bag, . . . just visit the Forever Resorts retail store during the Fee Free Weekend to receive your eco-shopping bag.
ALSO:

Are you always taking the pictures and never able to be in the group shot? How about a special photo to commemorate your visit to the National Park? Many National Parks have chosen a special scenic location at thier operation where FREE digital photos will be taken from 10-2 on Saturday of the Fee Free Weekends!
