Here is my first attempt at saving money at Kroger in quite some time. I generally avoid Kroger because it has become so difficult for couponers to save money, but I could not resist the free tuna, Snuggle and Frank's Red Hot Sauce included in the 10 Item Mega Sale.
Obviously, my talent is not photography 'cause the picture is a little blurry, but hopefully you can see what I got.
I ran across the Quaker Fright Night Mini Granola Bars in the area near the registers where the Halloween stuff was being marked down. Most items were half off, but the bags of granola bars were regularly $2.50 and marked down to $1. I thought this was a great idea for the kids in the neighborhood because they are halfway?? healthy. Granola with chocolate chips and candy pieces!! Well, DH did not think there was enough sugar in them to rot out the teeth of the our trick or treaters . . . so he is off buying candy!
Anyway, back to the deals. I had to do three trips because our Kroger limits us to 4 identical coupons and only one of those will double.

By the way, I checked shelf dates on the items that I purchased that are a part of the 10 Item Mega Sale and the sale runs through November 7. Now, that I have had a successful day at Kroger, I will try it again next week.

I love our local Kroger. They're one of the few chains here that does participate in the electronic coupons that you can load to your shopper card, which makes a huge difference in my grocery bill.

Anonymous. The 10 oz Frank's Red Hot Sauce with discount for the 10 Item Mega event was $1.49 and we had .50/1 coupons from 10/4SS1. So price was actually .49 after coupons and discounts. Still a great price since my DH drinks it. The 5 oz size is $1.45.
