Reader, Lisa B checked with her Harris Teeter about the fine print on this deal. You do not have to buy both of the items to get the discount; however, if you want to get the discount on both items, they must be purchased in the same transaction. Thanks, Lisa for getting the official word.

I'm not sure if you actually MUST buy both items ... I interpreted the fine print to mean that if you want the eVic price on both items, you have to purchase them both in the same transaction--if you try to buy one at the eVic price today and then the other tomorrow, the eVic price is only good on the first one.
I am going to HT today ... I'll ask at the CS desk what the fine print means.
I asked at customer service and they said you do not have to buy both. But if you DO want both, you must buy them in the same transaction.
